Jody Hamblet
President - RL Recruiting
Jody Hamblet serves as the President of RL Recruiting, bringing a unique blend of strategic leadership, organizational excellence, and a lifelong passion for industry innovation to the talent acquisition landscape. Under her guidance, RL Recruiting has established itself as a premier workforce partner, connecting elite corporate clients with high-performing professionals across highly specialized, asset-heavy industrial sectors.
Jody’s leadership is deeply informed by a profound, personal love for the railroad – a passion that translates directly into her niche recruiting expertise. She understands that industries built on heavy infrastructure require a unique breed of talent, grit, and precision. This deep domain knowledge allows RL Recruiting to expertly service clients across core sectors, including critical railroad construction, Maintenance of Way (MOW), and Train, Engine, and Yard (TE&Y) operations in addition to other construction verticals such as offshore marine construction and the oil and gas industries.
With a professional foundation rooted in communication, guidance, and mentorship – including valuable years spent serving as an educator – Jody possesses an innate ability to identify individual strengths and align them with technical, high-stakes corporate operations. Her academic background, featuring a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Phoenix, supports a data-informed, results-oriented methodology that addresses the intense compliance and safety needs of the marine and rail industries.
By bridging a deep appreciation for industrial heritage with modern workforce strategies, Jody continues to steer RL Recruiting forward with integrity, precision, and an unwavering commitment to keeping America’s infrastructure moving.
Reagan Hamblet
Program Manager - Recruiter
Reagan graduated from high school in 2020 and helped build RLRecruiting from the ground up in 2021. As a recruiter, he plays an integral role in identifying qualified candidates, coordinating interviews, building strong relationships, and connecting employers with talent that fits their needs.
His responsibilities also include sourcing applicants, screening resumes, communicating with clients, and supporting candidates throughout the hiring process.
Reagan is a skilled and dependable recruiter known for his communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to recognize potential in others.
His hands-on experience growing RLRecruiting has given him a strong understanding of both recruitment strategy and day-to-day business operations.
Outside of work, Reagan enjoys spending time outdoors, especially bird hunting with his dog, Buck.
Karen Murphy
Program Manager - Recruiter
Karen joined RL Recruiting four years ago after spending 38 years in full-time vocational ministry, where much of her work involved recruiting, developing, and leading large teams of staff and volunteers. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in Marketing from Howard Payne University.
As Program Manager, Karen brings a results-driven mindset, a genuine love for people, and a passion for building meaningful relationships. She truly loves recruiting and knowing that she plays a small part in helping people find their next dream job.
Collaborative, organized, and committed to excellence, Karen strives to create personalized experiences and lasting partnerships that help both clients and candidates succeed.
Karen lives in San Antonio, TX and when she isn’t recruiting, she loves spending time with her three dogs and dreaming about her next getaway—preferably somewhere with a beach or aboard a cruise ship!
